...and more importantly was able to return to it in one piece! On Sunday morning after a few more engine out drills and touch & go laps around the pattern at Shawnee Field Alistair asked for a full stop landing. As we rolled to a stop near the hanger he announced "I'm getting out"... oooh boy. After another run through the pre-takeoff check list I back taxied 18 and took off.

I've dreamt of flying for most of my 40 years. I always thought that meant an old Cessna 172 and a lifetime supply of "$300 hamburgers". Then I met Spence, our sons are classmates in kindergarten. We were invited to spend Memorial Day at "the farm" in Michigan. The next thing I knew I was climbing 1000 fpm in the back seat of his Quik. Well that took care of that. As of yesterday I am the proud owner of a White Quantum 912.
